Recording Your First Scenario

After learning about how to navigate through Autify, it's time to record your first scenario! Clicking the [Scenarios] tab will bring up the scenarios page. Normally, this screen will have a list of created scenarios displayed; however, this being the first scenario creation, it will be empty.

Go ahead and click on the new button at the top right to start recording a new scenario.

To start, we will need to edit the title of our scenario from "Untitled scenario" to something more fitting. Press the "edit" button to edit the name. For this case, we will name it "1st Scenario".

Once you have named the scenario, click "Done". You should see places where it says "Data" and "Using step group", ignore those for now. We will cover these in later sections.

You will need to choose a window size. Window Size refers to how big the window will be when recording scenario. You can choose 375x812（iPhone X）, 1280x1024 or 1600x1200, though we recommend that you stick with 1280x1024.

Lastly, you will need to indicate a starting URL.

This URL should be the webpage that you want to start recording in (a lot of times this is a log in page). For our purposes, we are going to use the Autify website. Once you have selected and input the neccesary information, hit start recording! This will bring up a new window and the recorder, which we will talk about in the next section!
