Autify has an SSO (Single Sign-On) feature, which enables you to access the dashboard by authenticating through a specific IdP (Identity Provider). This is available as a paid option. Using this feature, you can access Autify with the account of your organization’s authentication service without creating separate users on Autify. The SSO feature is useful when managing all user accounts, including Autify and other services.
Benefits of the SSO feature
- SSO authentication is more secure than authenticating with an email address and password.
- Account management becomes easy, secure, and centralized, saving you time when members who use Autify joins or leaves your company.
- If a user’s account is removed from your authentication service, the user will no longer be able to log in to Autify.
Which IdPs are supported?
For now, only Azure AD is supported, but we are considering adding more IdPs in the future. If you would like to request an IdP, please let us know!
When the feature is enabled, who can use SSO?
Of the accounts that belong to the domain configured to use SSO (e.g., @autify.com), all users invited to Autify can use SSO.
Can I enable SSO on an existing account even if it doesn’t currently use SSO?
If the target account’s email address has a domain configured to use SSO (e.g., @autify.com), it will automatically change to use SSO.
Can users who use SSO and users who do not use SSO coexist within one organization?
It is possible in cases where users belonging to different domains are allowed to coexist in an organization. For example, users with a domain configured to use SSO (e.g., @autify.com) and those with a domain that will not use SSO (e.g., example.com) can coexist within the same organization.
Is the SSO feature a paid service?
Yes, the SSO feature is a paid option that can be added to your subscription plan.
