Step Suggestions (Beta)

Overview

Step Suggestions is a feature that suggests the possible next steps to create when recording a scenario on Autify. It may be helpful when you feel "We have an application to test, but we don't have much idea about what scenario we should create" or "We want to explore what potential cases we haven't tested yet."

Setup Step Suggestions

To use Step Suggestions, a dedicated token, and the Chrome extension will be required.

After receiving the token, set up the Chrome Extension as a Chrome user used when accessing Autify for Web.

Request a token

Please request a token from Token request form.

*Token will be sent to your email address after September 15th. Please wait for a while until it arrives.

Install the Chrome Extension

1. Download the Chrome extension "Autify AI Labs (Beta)" from Chrome Web Store.
   

2. Enter chrome://extensions into the address bar of Chrome browser to open the list of extensions. Make sure "Autify AI Labs (Beta)" is displayed.

3. Navigate to the settings page of "Autify AI Labs (Beta)" and enable "Allow in incognito".

4. Open the extension settings page and enable "Autify AI Labs (Beta)".

5. Click the icon of "Autify Step Suggestions (Beta)" and enter the token provided by Autify. The settings are now complete!

Record a scenario using Step Suggestions

Once you finish the setup, the only thing you will need to use Step Suggestions is to start recording a scenario as usual!

For example, if you open the autify.com website and start recording a scenario with "Autify Step Suggestions (Beta)" enabled, it will suggest three possible steps to test the application.

Clicking on one of the suggested steps brings the element into focus. The example below shows the Sign in button highlighted when you click the suggestion "Click the button Sign in button to test the sign-in functionality".

If you perform an action such as clicking, or typing according to a suggestion, you will receive the next suggestion.

You can also receive a new suggestion by clicking the hide icon to the right a suggestion, so please give it a try!

Send feedback

Step Suggestions is a beta feature. We appreciate your feedback so that we can provide better functionality in the future. If you click on the speech bubble icon at the top of the popup, a feedback form will be displayed. Please feel free to send us any questions you may have, suggestions, or opinions about the feature.

Switch languages

By clicking the translation button (A/文), you can switch the language of the suggestions (English/Japanese).

Reload suggestions

By clicking the reload button (🔄), you can request the three suggestions again.

Minimize Step Suggestions

You can minimize Step Suggestions by clicking on the minimize button (_). By clicking the "AI" icon, Step Suggestions will be enabled again.

• The service provided by Step Suggestions is subject to change without notice.
• The issued token is exclusive to the person who requested it. Please refrain from distributing it to other people.
• At this time, only PC-sized recordings are supported. Therefore, if you wish to record with the size 375x812 (iPhone X), please delete the token.
