Article Summary

If you get a "Failed to save the scenario" error when recording, one of the following may be the cause.

Chrome extension is interfering

One or more Chrome extensions installed in your browser may be interfering with Autify's performance.

We recommend creating a Chrome user specifically for Autify so that other extensions or settings don't affect it. For more information, please see Setting Up Autify.

The scenario has too many steps

The error may be due to too many steps in the scenario. Please reduce the number of steps and try recording again.

To learn about the benefits of keeping the number of steps low and how to do so, please see Why should I keep the number of steps in a test scenario small?

Please note that we may be unable to provide support if a test scenario has too many steps. For more details, please see What is the maximum number of steps per Scenario?
