Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Autify
To secure your Autify account, you can set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) for logging in to Autify.
To set up MFA, you will need an authenticator app (time-based one-time password application) such as Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.
Setup multi-factor authentication
- Navigate to the User Settings page. Click the "Set up MFA" button under "Multi-factor authentication" section.
- An email will be sent to your registered email address. Click "Set up MFA" link.
- You will see a screen with a QR code, which can be scanned with the authenticator app of your choice. Scan it with your authenticator app, and input the one time password displayed into the text field below the QR code.
- If successful, the following screen will be displayed. Log out from Autify to complete the setup.
The link in the email for MFA setup will expire once used. If you did not complete MFA setup after clicking the link in the email, please click the button again to send a new invitation email.
Login with multi-factor authentication
Make sure you are logged out and navigate to the login page. Input your email address and password and then click "Continue".
You will be prompted to input a one time password. Enter the one time password displayed in your authenticator app.
Go to the User Settings page and make sure you see "MFA is enabled." is displayed in the "Multi-factor authentication" section. If needed, you can disable MFA by clicking on the "Disable MFA" button.
