Article Summary

If a test fails because the target site cannot be accessed in Step 1 or Step 2, the cause may be one of the following:

  • You can’t access the target site.
If you cannot access the target site, such as if the server is down, Autify’s test will fail.
If this is the case, please contact your company’s development team.

  • The target site has BASIC authentication set up.
To access sites with BASIC authentication, you will need to configure this separately on Autify.
If you have not done so already, please set up BASIC authentication on Autify.

  • The target site has some form of access restriction.
Autify cannot test sites that restrict external access.

As a paid option, the outbound IP addresses from Autify can be static.
The test could pass if Autify uses a static IP address that has been whitelisted to access the target site.

Please contact us via Autify chat if these solutions don’t work for you.
