Scenario & Test Settings
Capturing page sources
If enabled, it captures the page source when executing tap steps. This allows you to specify XPath locators in Quick Element Update from the test result screen. Disabling it can speed up test execution, but XPath locators will no longer be available. Changing this setting will not affect already recorded steps.
Delay between steps
Delay to wait after each step. You can set the duration the system waits after each step is executed. The default is 3 seconds, and it can be set between 1 to 5 seconds. This setting is applied to all steps in your workspace, unless it is overridden by a scenario.
Please note that Assertion, ML Assert, and Prompt Assertion steps are not delayed because no action is executed.
Step retry timeout
You can set the timeout duration for retrying a step when the target element cannot be found or an error occurs on a per-step basis. The default is 30 seconds, and you can specify up to 300 seconds. This setting applies to all steps within the workspace. If the application is slow or backend processing takes time, try adjusting this setting by extending the step retry timeout. Note that if you set it to 0 seconds, it will not be retried (not recommended).
Device wait retry
In the cloud real device execution environment, this feature allows you to specify the number of retries to wait for an available device when your selected device is BUSY. If the device is not allocated after the specified number of retries, the test will fail with an error. The default is 15 retries, and you can set it between 0 to 15. This setting applies to all tests within the workspace.
Configuration Examples
- 0 retries: Up to 15 minutes total wait time (
) - 4 retries: Up to 75 minutes total wait time (
)
Skip tests on device timeout
When enabled, if a Device wait retry is reached, all other tests in the running test plan that are assigned to the same device and "a test that is waiting to start" status will be skipped automatically.
