As mentioned in this article, you will need an Apple account to conduct tests using a local iOS device. This guide explains the minimum required settings for your Apple and Xcode accounts to use local iOS devices.
1. Apple account
Please visit http://developer.apple.com/account (external site) and ensure that your account is configured as follows under the "Membership details" section. If you cannot sign in or do not have an account yet, please create one first.

Please note that the Team ID displayed on this screen will be used in Step 5 of the setup procedure.
2. Verify Apple Account Information in Xcode
Make sure that the Apple account and its associated Team (which you verified in Step 1 are also displayed in Xcode. At this stage, double-check that your account's role is Developer or higher.

3. Verifying Permissions in Xcode
Click on the Team you confirmed in step 2. Ensure that "Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles" is displayed with a green checkmark to its left.
If you do not have permission for "Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles," please request it from someone with an "Admin" or "Account Holder" role in the same Team. Without this permission, you will not be able to use local real devices.
