Creating Scenarios

Once you've uploaded a build file, let's create a scenario!
This article explains the use case for a cloud device (iOS).
Select [Scenarios] from the menu and click the tab for the desired OS, either iOS or Android.

Next, click [New] in the upper right corner. Currently, you can choose between [Create from build file] or [Create from Step group]. In this example, we will choose [Create from build file].

After clicking [Create from build file], the "Select build file" page will open.

Select the build file you want to use when creating the scenario. For iOS, select the real device you will be using for recording. Then, click [Select].

To set up or review the real device to use for recording, go to [Settings] > [Workspaces] > [Devices to use].
For details on how to set this up, please see the "Devices to use" section of the Workspaces article.

MinimumOSVersion of the build file

When you select the build file when recording, the MinimumOSVersion of the build file is validated. If the build file's MinimumOSVersion is newer than the selected iOS version, the message "MinimumOSVersion key in info.plist is set to a value newer than the iOS version of the default recording environment." appears and you cannot select the build file.

Please refer to this article for more information on the "Busy" and "Any" options displayed in the device selection.

Wait for recording to start.

When Autify is ready to record, the recording screen will appear. The recording screen consists of the (1) Scenario Area on the left and the (2) Recording Area on the right. Try tapping the menu in the Recording Area.

After you have added the necessary steps, click [Save] to save the scenario.
The recording screen will close and the scenarios page will be displayed once again.

You have now created a scenario!

When starting multiple recording sessions simultaneously

For both local real devices and cloud real devices, if you start multiple recording sessions at the same time, the recording may fail to start depending on Autify’s internal resource availability. If the recording cannot start, you will see an error message like the one shown below. In such a case, please wait for the other recording sessions to finish.
